Dr. Hitendra Patel
Dr. Hitendra Patel completed his psychiatric residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine at Elmhurst Hospital Center, where he served as Chief Resident After completing his residency, he attended Beth Israel Medical Center in New York for a fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry.
Dr. Patel became an Attending Psychiatrist in the Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Unit and also in the Dual Diagnosis Inpatient Unit for Developmentally Disabled Adult patients at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in 2008. He supervised and trained psychiatric residents and medical students in addition to his clinical duties.
Dr. Patel has been working as a consultant in multiple assisted living facilities as well as skilled rehab facilities for more than 13 years.
Dr. Patel is board-certified in both Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry and is trained to provide various treatments, such as multiple forms of psychotherapy including cognitive behavioral therapy, prescribing medications, and more.
He firmly believes that mental health is a vital part of successful and happy life.
